LOD’s Flagship, The Premier Explorer was successful in leading the IN-SITU Burn Group
New Orleans, LA, May 16, 2011; Louisiana Oilfield Divers, L.L.C (LOD) is pleased to announce that the DSV Premier Explorer, already diverse in her many proven capabilities in the subsea construction and diving market, was the command and control ship of the IN-SITU burn group that was integral in the U.S. GOM oil spill response. With her 40 total berths , 20 ton dynamic load- personnel rated crane, 2500 sq ft of clear deck space, full communications package to include phone, email, and internet, and overall seaworthiness, the vessel’s performance and that of its qualified crew members, was considered to be a huge success in the clean up and response campaign. “Although an unfortunate event that impacted the livelihood of countless businesses and thousands of hard working people alike, we are proud to have been such a large part of the historical and unprecedented response efforts.” stated Ken Brooks, Vice President of LOD. LOD Announces Premier Explorer Utilization
New Orleans, LA, January 21, 2010; Louisiana Oilfield Divers, L.L.C. (LOD) is pleased to announce that it’s Dive Support Vessel Premier Explorer completed its first full year of operations, enjoying 77% utilization. The US flagged 4-point vessel has a length of 208 ft. and breadth of 53 ft. making her one of the widest vessels in her class.
The Premier Explorer’s size and distinctive configuration allows her to hold a large amount of project-specific equipment and supplies without affecting dive operations. This has allowed her to complete a variety of projects under a single mobilization including: Pipeline flushing and abandonment without additional vessel support while carrying all flushing equipment onboard; Performing platform repair utilizing the installation of two 18-ton 40 in. by 47 ft. pin piles with the ability to hold 98 pallets of 3:1 Sand/Cement bags; The recovery and reinstallation of 400+ ft. of 10 in. pipeline utilizing 80 ft. pre-assembled spool pieces, including the riser and riser guard installation; Performing her deepest dive project to date on mixed gas at 250 ft. water depth.

LOD Announces 1st and 2nd 2009 Quarterly Vessel Utilization

LOD Announces Successful Operation of DSV Premier Explorer
New Orleans, LA, March 15, 2009; Louisiana Oilfield Divers, L.L.C (LOD) announced today that it has successfully introduced and operated the DSV Premier Explorer in the U.S. GOM market. The Explorer has shown her versatility and has been successful in completing multiple projects since December 2008. Various projects involved surface-air and mixed-gas diving in water depths from 25 fsw to 220 fsw.
LOD Announces Major Drydocking and Modifications to DSV Premier Explorer
New Orleans, LA, December 5, 2008; Louisiana Oilfield Divers, L.L.C. (LOD) announced today that it has completed the ABS/USCG Special Survey, Drydocking, and Major Modifications/Upgrades to its flagship DSV Premier Explorer. Modifications and upgrades included the addition of 16 berths, overhauls to all major machinery, hull modifications to enhance station-keeping abilities, Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) for diving operations, two air-conditioned decompression chamber spaces, overhaul of the ship’s hydraulic crane and installation of diving equipment.
LOD Announces Acquisition of Vessel
New Orleans, LA, January 11, 2008; Louisiana Oilfield Divers, L.L.C. (LOD) announced today that it has acquired an 8-Point Multi-Purpose Construction/Dive Support Vessel, the M/V Premier Explorer.
The M/V Premier Explorer is a U.S.-flagged, ABS-classed vessel measuring 208 ft. x 53 ft. x 13.5 ft. Her unique configuration includes accommodations for 40 people, ample storage capacity, a fully functional machine shop, multiple working decks, shallow and intermediate diving capabilities and a 20-ton dynamic, personnel-rated crane.
